The article I have researched is titled “Transformational Leadership in Nursing: A Concept Analysis” by Ebru Kocoglu-Tanyeri and Berna Gercek. The article discusses the concept of transformational leadership in nursing and its importance in today’s nursing practice.

The major points of the article are as follows:
1. The concept of transformational leadership involves the ability to motivate and inspire others towards achieving common goals.
2. Transformational leadership consists of four main components- idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration.
3. The effectiveness of transformational leadership on organization outcomes has been well documented in various studies.
4. Transformational leadership has a positive impact on both the nurses and the patients.

Personally, I support transformational leadership style in nursing for several reasons. Secondly, this style of leadership has a positive impact on employee satisfaction which then translates into better patient outcomes.

Nurses in leadership positions must understand this concept and strive to embody these four components in their leadership style to positively impact both the healthcare organization and its patients.
